Why do we call centrifuge the 4th solids control equipment or the 5th cleaning equipment?
Because it's behind desilter cone or mud cleaner. The middle-speed centrifuge is usually fixed frequency and get rid of 5-7microns cuttings. While the high-speed one is usually VFD and separate 2-5 microns cuttings out of the liquid.
The material of decanter centrifuge is stainless steel. The minimum grade is S.S304, and then S.S316, S.S316L, Duplex 2205.
