Why use vacuum degasser for drilling mud?
During the drilling process, the gas contained in drilling fluids from wells affects the mud property, brings hidden danger, and shortens the service life of some equipment. So, it is necessary to install a vacuum degasser to eliminate gas from the mud.
The basic principle of drilling mud degasser
Vacuum degasser utilizes negative pressure by the vacuum pump to withdraw entrained gases from the mud. In order for this to work, mud is pumped through a venturi, which develops a negative pressure in the vessel by vacuum pump, thus sucking mud into the unit.
